Bush Animals Workshop Thursday 20th January 10am - 12.30pm
A hands-on workshop designed for families, which encourages collaboration and intergenerational learning to create a bush animal that can be passed on through the family. Working together during this 2.5 hour workshop you will learn how to recycle and repurpose material and the skills needed to make your own animal sculpture.
The method of making a ‘bush toy’ is an indigenous art form which is championed by the Tjanpi Weavers of the Central Desert. Caroline learnt this artform from Gunditjmara master weaver Bronwyn Razem, who has given her permission to teach and share the knowledge of making bush animals. All materials supplied, just bring your sense of creativity, teamwork and willingness to try something new.
