I have had the privilege of working with and becoming friends with Gunditjamara weaver Aunty Bronwyn Razem.
I attended several of her workshops to learn how to make sister baskets in blanket stitch and bush toys. Our relationship has developed over a period of years, sitting and weaving together, to the point now where she is very happy for me to also teach my version the of blanket stitch and bush toys workshops. always acknowledging her as my teacher.
My greatest honour was being invited to make two eel traps on her behalf, following her guidance on the stitch and the design.
