Roll Top Random Weave Sat 25th July 1pm - 4pm

Picture
Random weave with a twist!
This method of sculptural weaving is an adaptation of a style created by UK willow weaver Tom Hare. Tom makes very large sculptures using the fabulously long willow available in the UK.
We will create baskets of a more manageable size, with vines.
In this workshop, you will learn how to
*prepare your vines for weaving
*establish the ‘expanded wreath like’ shape
*Information on suitable plants to use and how to gather and prepare them.

Sat 25th July 2020 1pm - 4pm
at Bluebird House, 51 Carr st. South Geelong
