Art & Movement
in Nature retreat

Art & Movement in Nature Retreat
New Date for Spring 2022 coming soon
original date 1st to 3rd April 2022 has been cancelled

Reflect

Do you remember the images of wildlife reclaiming the public spaces in cities during the 2020 lockdowns? It was so heart warming to observe the resilience of nature during an unprecendented moment of global stillness as the world was gripped by the pandemic. It's a moment in time when we have a unique opportunity to embrace a new way of being within ourselves and in the world.
Our weekend retreat will explore this unique moment with a carefully designed program which allows nature to be our guide

Restore

as your intuitive awareness is stimulated within the majestic forested surroundings of our venue King Parrot Cottages deep in the Otway Ranges.

Revitalise

through ephemeral art, movement, guided bush walking and contemplation
We acknowledge the Gadubanud, the King Parrot speaking people and traditional owners of the land on which we will meet.
We pay our repects to elders past, present and future and the primary guardians, keepers and knowledge holders of Aboriginal cultural heritage of this region.

Program

Cultivate new ways of being, seeing and feeling with our intuitive facilitators:
Journey with us from the broad perspective of the awe inspiring landscape of the forest and its ecology through to an intimate awareness of your essential self through an embodied connection with nature.
Learn about the Otways and its incredible diversity of species through Conservation Biologist Ian Hawkins'  'Deep Time Otways' bush walk.
Open all your senses to the natural world with forest therapy guide Karyn Folwell.
As we become more alert to our environment, direct your thoughts creatively to colours, shapes and patterns in Caroline Hawkins ephemeral art workshop.
5Rhythms facilitator Evelyn Switajewski will hold space for us to move mindfully, unpredictably and expressively within our forested setting.
Create site specific art pieces that honour our surroundings with artist Caroline Hawkins
Conclude the weekend with Eco Somatic practitioner Rivka Worth as she guides us to remember our innate and embodied relationship with nature.
Our program has built in flexibility to accomodate weather conditions and to allow time for peaceful reflection, exploration and foraging for art materials.
